Guests call it Papaoneone Beach; locals call it Turtle Beach. It's a short drive from Hawaiian Home — lovely on a calm summer morning, and genuinely rough once winter swells arrive. Because the beach is steep and has no protective reef, the shorebreak deserves real respect, so judge conditions fresh each day rather than assuming yesterday's calm water will repeat.
